New song
Had some time in the studio over the weekend so Nick and Jamie penned a new track called, ‘I kicked Cheryl Cole out of my bed for a dog who works in Burger King.’ Expect to record soon.
Live Review from NEC gig
Never heard of this unsigned band but I enjoyed them the most – Heavy Music still rules for me and I definitely enjoyed it. Included a Heavy Metal version of Layla would you believe?
Mor than a touch of the Iron Maiden’s about them but none the worse for that.
Anyway, must go, basttery fading on Vaio.
Electric Guitar Notes
Live Review by ForeverBlueSkies
Musically very good, old skool metal with flying-V style guitars playing in the upright “my guitar is my penis” style. Seriously though, Primitai were good!
Live Review by Tamlyn Head
Primitai rocked the night away giving the crowd a taste of pure rock ‘n roll. This 5-piece band gave a Guns ‘n Roses worthy performance. Halfway through their set the singer could no longer handle the constraints of the small stage and lept up the joining stairs and sang and played air guitar from up there. This improvisation won the crowd over, if the band itself hadn’t already done that.
Live review at Surface Unsigned First Round
Spitting fire, denim and leather at the fans Primitai remind us of the finer points of stadium rock. Subscribing to their brand of metal you’ll be seduced by their long hair and flying v’s, but this is more than just an act metal, as I’m constantly reminded, is not just a music genre it’s a way of life. Howling guitar riffs that set the standard and metal anthems that would make the devil blush. Primitai are a strong band that carry a whole weight on stage, it was like being at Download.
Live Review at Surface Unsigned Semi Final
Are you ready to be sunk, by the awesome pink torpedo of Primitai? Primitai pay a large homage to the 80s stadium metal sound, with their long hair, cut-off t-shirts and primitive metal vocals. The guitar sound cannot be rivalled and an amateur (at least at guitars) such as myself could never hope to capture the essence of their complex, guitar sections. Their sound is decadent, it’s a reminder of those times where music is more important than the air you breathe, but not the beer you drink. A more lively crowd I have n’er seen the like of, or a loyal fan-base, each song seemed to draw an appreciative gasp/whistle/noise as their hedonistic attitude spill out from the stage.
